I genuinely enjoy people and I love working with them.
I’m interested in what makes us who we are, what we bring to our work and relationships, and what can happen when we understand ourselves and each other a little better.
People have been at the heart of my work throughout my career. I’ve worked with people at different stages of their lives and careers, individually, in teams and across organisations. I still find people endlessly interesting. No two people are the same, and no two conversations are either.
My own learning has been an important part of that. I’ve had wise guides along the way and plenty of opportunities to learn more about myself. That curiosity has never really left me.
I like to look at things differently. To turn something around, see it from another angle and make connections that might not be obvious at first. I’m fascinated by how differently we can see and experience the same thing. I also like finding language for something a person already senses but hasn’t quite been able to name.
Self-awareness is at the heart of my work. It helps us notice more of what is going on: the patterns we repeat, the impact we have, what gives us energy, what gets in our way and what we may not yet see.
That awareness opens the door to self-leadership. Understanding ourselves matters, but so does trusting what we know, taking responsibility for our choices and having the courage to act on what matters. We won’t always get it right. We can become more conscious of how we are showing up, the impact we are having and the choices available to us.
I bring all of this into my work at Sea Beyond, from one-to-one coaching to working with groups.
At the heart of Sea Beyond is connection within ourselves and with others. Knowing what serves us and what we need to let go of. Knowing when to be strong and when to be gentle.
It’s about clarity of purpose, sharpening your vision and your focus to see beyond now.
It’s an invitation to learn.
My learning continues, but these are some of the tools and professional foundations I draw on in my work:
